PAC Report at WCCFT Membership Meeting 11-5-25

Report by Joyce Cassidy

Our Vote Cope Campaign Drive to increase membership is going well.

Since the beginning of our VOTE COPE drive, we have increased participation by 13 faculty members which is a greater than 30% increase– a really good start.  We are now halfway to our goal of 50% of Full Time faculty participation, which we hope to achieve by the end of the academic year.  We are now seeking 25 additional full timers to sign up by the end of the term to help us move toward our goal.

I’m happy to report that we also had 8 FT faculty who were already participating increase their contributions by doubling their contributions.  Thank you so much!

Why do we need to increase our VOTE COPE fund account?

  • The County approves our contract
  • We want those in county office positions to know us, to understand our values and our issues, and to support higher education.
  • The way for us to build positive relationships is by providing support for their campaigns.
  • When we have their ear – they have our back.

Based on the current ‘Unofficial Tally,’ every single candidate that we endorsed has been successful in securing their legislative seat and winning in their district.

Again, thank you to our current members that are contributing – your support directly helped to support our county leaders!

For those not yet participating, please consider joining our efforts right away.  Not only will your financial contribution help us build relationships with county leaders, your engagement will undoubtedly send a very positive message.

Signing up is easy!  You can do it right now, before you forget!  Just take out your phone and grab the QR code displayed on your screen.  You can give as much or as little as you want; most participants donate just $5 per paycheck (less than a Starbucks coffee!).
