ADJUNCT COMMITTEE
Chair Virginia Caputo reports:
The Adjunct Committee held its first Adjunct Information Session on March 12 and its second on April 9. The focus of the former was on providing an overview of the Union and the latter was on going over adjunct rights according to the CBA, MOAs, and MOUs. There was much interest in the sessions, and both were well-attended.
The next Information Session will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, at 7:00p via Zoom. The focus will be on adjunct benefits. The meeting is open to all adjuncts – teaching and non-teaching, credit and non-credit, and Union and non-Union members. The link will be e-mailed out. Please join us!
For those who are interested, the slides from the sessions, along with accompanying videos, are available on the website.
POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE
Chair Joyce Cassidy reminds:
“As we come to the close of another academic year, the Political Action Committee would like to thank all current members who contribute to VOTE-COPE. Your support allows us to endorse and assist candidates seeking election to public office. Ongoing communication with local officials helps to build strong relationships, share ideas, and advocate for our priorities. We sincerely appreciated the time spent with local candidates and believe they are committed to supporting higher education and fostering favorable working conditions – all with the goal of providing outstanding service to the students in our community.
We welcome new contributors and encourage all members to donate to VOTE-COPE; no amount is too small. If you are interested, please complete a VOTE-COPE form, available at http://www.sunywccft.org/2021/10/vote-cope/.”
