WCCFT MEMBER WINS EMMY
Maria Clinton, proud WCCFT member and adjunct faculty in Filmmaking, won Outstanding Short Documentary at the 42nd Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards for a film she co-directed, “The Love Bugs.”
The film focuses on married couple Charlie and Lois O’Brien, who have spent 60 years traveling to more than 67 countries and quietly amassing the world’s largest private insect collection. Now grappling with the advanced Parkinson’s disease that afflicts Charlie, these renowned entomologists remain committed to the value of expanding scientific knowledge, frequently turning to their 1.25 million specimens when they need a little help.
